Creating Suppression Rules

Follow these steps to create a suppression rule to a clash detection.
  1. To add a suppression rule to an existing clash detection list, do the following:
    1. From the clash detections Tests tab, select the clash detection to which you want to add a suppression rule, and then click Modify Test ( ). The Modify Clash Detection Test wizard appears.
    2. Click Next to accept input field data and advance to the Select Models and Categories step of the wizard.
    3. Click Next to accept the models and categories, and advance to the Selected Clash Sets step of the wizard.
    4. Click Next to accept input field data and advance to page Select Suppression Rules step of the wizard.
    5. Go to Step 3, below.
  2. To add a suppression rule while creating a clash detection list, do the following:
    1. From the Create Clash Detections wizard, advance to Select Suppression Rules step of the wizard.
    2. Go to Step 3, below.
  3. Click Add Suppression Rules. The Add Suppression Rules dialog appears.
  4. Click the Add Suppression Rule button ( ). The Create Suppression Rule dialog appears. For example,
  5. Select a suppression rule template, and then click Create. The Details dialog appears.
  6. Enter the required information for the template, such as a Name and Reason, and then select a Schema and Class from the lists.
    Note: Required information differs depending on the template.
  7. When finished, click Apply.
The suppression rule is applied to the clash detection test.
